Most of the prayers people pray are a dead substitute to their obedience. For instance a woman doesn’t need to be praying for the husband, rather she should be submissive. Instead, she carries the man’s name to all prayer mountains, anointing his pictures. Anoint the picture until the picture fades away. It’s not necessary, it is not called for. Your children can become smart and love God just by simply obeying simple laws of guiding and instructing your children before they become like dried fish that cannot be bent again. That time you will now be asking for special prayer and carry their album to the church.
Not doing it at the right time is the same as not doing it at all. He said, ‘Seek the Lord while he may be found’ because there is a time he can’t be found. There is a time he’s not near. Many people obey God but they do it late. When God has no more delight in it and perhaps when God has sought an alternative. You know why many people are not excelling in ministry today? Because they arrived there late, they still have the note of what God told them but God has actually taken the virtue of that calling and given it to somebody else. So he comes in late and he’s wondering why things are not working, he remains a struggler because the time for his excellence and for his success has expired. He sits there in the name of obeying God but he came late, so if God ever gives him anything at all, it is the residue of whatever he feels he should give him so that he can keep him off.
In conclusion, the authentic proof of faith is obedience and when obedience is not prompt, it is as good as disobedience.
